Low Self-Esteem

Low self-esteem affects both genders, young and old. We know that low self-esteem has a limiting effect on people’s lives and contributes to anxiety, withdrawal, avoidance and depression. Therapy helps people understand the origins of their self image and how this influences their behaviour day-to-day. I use an integrated approach of cognitive behavioural therapy and compassion focused therapy to enable clients to develop self acceptance through an understanding of their difficulties. We then work together on practical techniques for moving forward. Clients I have worked with have seen a huge change in their self-esteem due to a personalised approach to their difficulties.
